When the workplace come to yoga!

Our yoga community is all about being inclusive and accepting of everybody which means we have cultivated a band of students who are not necessarily ‘typically yoga’!
So if you come to our studio, if you make friends with our students you’ll be sure to find a few exceptions to the yoga ‘rule’; our crazy Front of House team (Harriet), our beer monster of a student (Valerie) and a past teacher who simply can’t miss our nights out (Sarah)!Read More
I come from a super small family, but my parents made up for it with the most awesome, magical Christmases. I know most families have rituals and things they get the kids to do on the run up to the big day but my mum and dad were great at this; there were trails and maps and games to find our presents around the house, these got more elaborate every year and I’m quite sure it’s because my dad got a chance to legit be a child for a couple of days! It was so believable and awesome that my brother still believed in Santa when he went to High School, much to our amusement (sorry Michael).Read More

The brain cannot follow the sounds as no rhythm is made by the bowls and gongs, so the brain waves switch from beta state (awake, alert, problem solving) into alpha state (daydreaming, relaxed, imagination), to theta (meditation, dreaming).Read More

So whilst you’re sat happily in Baddha Konasana thinking ‘this is easy’ think about the person whose knees are touching their eyeballs; earlier that same person might have held a forearm stand for 2 breaths whilst your feet remain weighted to the ground in that pose.Read More

Teaching one yoga class is easy. Teaching several yoga classes a week challenges your creativity. If you want to teach a good class, you have to tailor it to your students and the content has to match how the class is advertised.
